The National Petroleum Agency (ANP) published two resolutions establishing new procedures to be adopted by companies operating in oil and natural gas exploration and production activities in Brazil while the measures to deal with the public health emergency resulting from the coronavirus (Covid-19) are in effect.

One of the measures allows contracted companies to extend the contract operation phase for nine months. Another resolution eases contractual obligations and ratifies safety measures.

The ANP also extended the maximum date for making investments in Research, Development and Innovation (PDI) that aim to fulfill obligations generated by the oil companies in reference to the 2019 year.
