Regulatory News

The General-Director of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), Magda Chambriard, created a new sector in the regulatory agency to try to improve monitoring and prevent new oil spills. It is being called the Superintendence for Operational Safety and the Environment.

The new division is an amalgamation of two older agency departments: the Coordination for the Environment and the Supervision of Operational Safety Activities in Exploration and Production.
