A report from the Task Force on Systemic Pesticides, a group of 50 scientists from 15 nationalities who for four years examined the effects of these substances on the ecosystem, concluded that there is increasingly clear evidence that pesticides are responsible in large-scale for the death of bees and other pollinating insects.

The experts, who evaluated 800 scientific studies published in the last two decades, pointed to the risk of the use of neonicotinoids and fipronil insecticide types. According to the report, when used without control, these products, besides affecting the insects, contaminate soil and groundwater.
