The importance of protecting bees as the main pollinating insects on the planet is gaining more supporters. Famous hotels and museums in the United States and Europe began to support the cause by installing hives on its buildings. Museums like the Whitney in New York and the Tate Modern in London have installed apiaries on the terraces.

Among the hotels, the list includes the Waldorf Astoria in New York; the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island in Florida; Westin and the Mandarin Oriental in Paris; and the Canadian network Fairmont. In addition to helping the environment, the hotels use the honey produced by the bees in their restaurants.
