Research by scientists at the University of Sussex in England, points out that bees are more attracted to the nectar of plants that produce caffeine naturally. The study was published in the journal Current Biology.

To conduct this experiment, two scientists put artificial flowers for feeding honeybees - one with sweet nectar without caffeine and the other with a concentration of the compound. The bees returned more times to the artificial flowers containing caffeine.
