On Friday, December 4, beekeepers from the Pantanal in the state of Mato Grosso had a meeting to discuss the creation of a certification stamp establishing geographical identification to prove the origin of the honey produced in the region, which is known for its high quality.

"Geographical identification is a way to attest to the quality of the product. It is a certification that works as a great differential in the market that attracts consumers and maintains their loyalty, "said Vanderlei dos Reis, a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) and coordinator of the beekeepers meeting.
