Three quarters, i.e., 75% of organic honey exported from Brazil goes to the United States. Europe is the destination of 20% of the total volume and the remaining 5% of the production goes to Asia and the Middle East. The data is from the Honey Exporters Association.

The record in exports was broken in 2014, with 25,300 tons, which generated R$392 million (US$110.3 million). Last year, due to weather problems between September and December, there was a decrease, but the numbers are considered high: 22,000 tons and revenues of R$324 million (US$91.17 million). The states of São Paulo and Ceara are the main producers of organic honey, which accounts for 60.7% of the exports.
