One of the most traditional hotels in London, St. Ermins, located just minutes from some of the main parks of the British capital, is using beekeeping as one of its main attractions of marketing. On the roof of the hotel, where there was a chapel from the 15th century, there are now three hives for about 300,000 bees which produce honey that is served to guests.

On the St. Ermins Internet site, the bees are featured prominently, highlighting the benefits for the environment. Also highlighted is the information that the bees can collect pollen and honey in neighboring Saint James Park as well as Green Park and Hyde Park. The hives have become an attraction in itself in the hotel.
