Regulatory News

In recent days, disagreement over the international trade regulation has become a point in the debate between heads of state from the United States on the one hand and Europe and Japan on the other. While the Trump administration advocates that the country establish rules of trade defense, the European Union and Japan have established guidelines for a free trade agreement in the form of the Transpacific Partnership (TPP).

Opposition to the treaty is not just American. It is also seen with concern among European and Japanese workers. "There are areas where it is important to have good regulatory frameworks to protect people's fundamental needs," Penny Clarke, deputy secretary of the European Federation of Public Service Unions, told Euronews.
